The Leonard Resource Group (LRG), a national communications and outreach firm, is seeking passionate candidates for our paid part-time summer internship program in our Canton, OH office.
As an LRG intern you will embark on a dynamic learning journey, gaining exposure to a wide array of projects and tasks aimed at nurturing your skills, building relationships, and fostering professional growth.
Working closely with our team, you’ll provide support to a diverse clientele spanning government and private sectors, contributing to real-world projects that make a tangible impact. Our interns play a vital role in our operations, learning from industry experts and gaining invaluable insights into the world of public affairs.
Interns must work at least 40 hours per month with flexible scheduling (including some remote work). Candidates MUST live in a HUBZone (https://maps.certify.sba.gov). This can be the address on your ID OR your campus dorm/lease/etc. The internship will span the summer months, with the possibility of extension into the school year.
Qualifications:

- High School Graduate, preferably enrolled at an accredited university.
- Have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple and diverse tasks/projects at once.
- Be detail-orientated and able to work independently.
- Have skilled competence with: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat Pro, Slack, Canva, and various browsers. Familiarity with social media tools is a plus.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, have an excellent command of spoken and written English and have basic research and writing experience.

- Training in industry software such as Cvent, FreshDesk, ZenDesk, CRMs, Hootsuite, MailChimp and more.
- Producing high-quality marketing and communications collateral to be featured in external publications.
- Understanding the management of event production by being tasked with projects that will create value for key external stakeholders.
- Learning to demonstrate multi-channel communication skills and collaborating with coworkers in person and virtually.
- Opportunities to suggest project ideas and create your own experience.
