Position Overview:
Bloccelerate VC is currently seeking an investment associate intern (summer) to serve as a key member of the investment team. As an Investment Associate Intern, you will work directly with investment decision makers and be exposed to live deals and transactions to enhance your investing acumen.
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in focus area identification exercises
- Scouting, Sourcing, Screening, Vetting and performing due diligence on new companies
- Corresponding with entrepreneurs seeking answers to investment committee questions
- Presenting findings and updates at deal team meetings
- Incorporating Bloccelerate’s value system and investment thesis into your own practice
You will be provided access to our CRM system & a database of investment opportunities to work on.
What you’ll learn:
In this internship you will enhance your investment acumen, improve your blockchain literacy, gain insight into VC and start-up funding. You will also grow your network of high-impact companies of the future. You will know how to evaluate the merit of companies and projects. You will be equipped to avoid the common mistakes entrepreneurs make and understand how best to communicate the essence of a business and project. All these are invaluable skills for choosing which companies to work with, rallying support to your organization.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience using blockchain technologies and a basic understanding of Web3 dapps
- Available for min of 15 hours per week
- Critical thinker with excellent communication skills
- Diligent, with attention to detail & ability to follow outlined processes
- All majors are welcome
- Self-Starter who performs well independently
Preferred: Prior experience working in web3, prior experience in investments, desire to be a savvy investor or a successful innovator.
