Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to assist our Workforce Development team in managing and expanding grant opportunities for our schools. The intern will gain insight into grant eligibility requirements and compliance regulations, and help maintain accurate records for various grant programs. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop administrative, research, and communication skills in a professional setting while gaining exposure to the intersection of education and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the application process for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding and other applicable grant programs.
- Help prepare, submit, and track grant applications and related paperwork.
- Respond to grant providers regarding student applications and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant programs, contacts, and application statuses.
- Conduct research on new grant opportunities and funding sources.
- Perform other administrative and support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Organized and attention to detail.
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and GSuite apps.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or in-office setting.
