CREATIVE PRODUCTION INTERN
The Creative Production Intern will focus primarily on assisting with digital content production and creating custom video that represents our brand both inside the museum and across all platforms. Having both creative skills as well as technical skills is a requirement. You will work with internal and external talent & rock history experts to capture interviews and live events as well as build visual narratives that support our mission. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a working environment emphasizing innovation, collaboration and intentional growth. TASKS & DUTIES
Produce and edit content that reflects the Rock Hall’s brand and motivates engagement.
- Produces compelling videos to give greater context to the history of rock & roll and its influence on world culture.
- Shoots and edits video content included but not limited to live shows and interviews, to be used in exhibits and to promote museum admission and programs.
- Artfully bring to life existing branded motion graphics to visually enhance storytelling.
- Work with Creative Producer to ensure high quality production of authentic & factual content in our brand voice.
Research and outline video content that will support museum-wide initiatives.
- Assists in the production of original, long and short-form content for our exhibits and programming that can continue to be shaped for use across multiple museum-wide initiatives, including Rock Hall owned social channels, Rock Hall EDU and more.
- Research Rock Hall-owned and external archival materials to assist in drafting authentic narratives for video content.
- Identifying raw assets that are needed and capture missing footage to complete projects.
- Research and collects appropriate digital materials.
- Work with Branding & Content Team to draft engaging content to spotlight our exhibits, inductees, programming, and educational offerings.
Assist with managing existing archival assets and maintain organization of newly created content.
- Assist in the management of the internal database of Rock Hall-owned and produced video assets and transcripts.
- Work with our Library & Archives on digital asset management of archival material.
- Ensure that all completed content and new raw footage is sent to the Library & Archives with proper documentation for preservation.
- Monitor and document content quality, usage, and rights.
- Manage and assist in the creation, maintenance, and execution of metadata and taxonomy structure.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and experience in media, film studies, marketing or a related field is required.
- Experience with DSLR cameras is required.
- Beginner to Intermediate-level video editing experience required.
- Demo reel demonstrating skills and prior experience is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Lighting and Audio for production is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in an environment of significant transformation and change, with strong ability to switch gears frequently.
- Ability to complete recurring work on a timely basis as well as special projects.
ELIGIBILITY
Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in a college (preferably entering senior year after summer 2025) or graduate school program.
Details
- Rock Hall internships are paid positions and for enrichment purposes must be willing to work within other departments. This may include working shifts with the Fan Engagement and Museum Retail teams.
- The internship is onsite, starting May 28th and ending August 8th. Exact end dates could be later with some internships.
- Estimated weekly hours for this internship: 35 hours

Weekly career development sessions and or panels with Rock Hall staff will ensure you are getting the most out of your time at the Rock Hall and completing the summer with new tools and resources when it comes to beginning your career. All intern positions will get a chance to work on the floor of the museum to learn firsthand how we create the world class guest experience for our visitors from around the globe. Lastly, all our interns will get to experience summer at the Rock Hall and Cleveland, getting to know the city that helped build Rock & Roll, and all of the events and excitement we curate each summer.
