CREATIVE CONTENT INTERN
The Creative Content Intern engages our audiences and amplifies our message by designing bold, powerful artwork that is as alive as rock & roll itself. This intern reports to the Creative Project Manager and collaborates with marketing to illustrate our authentic story and make meaningful connections with music fans here, there, and everywhere.
TASKS & DUTIES
Designs graphic artwork and visual communications for digital and physical use across the organization.
- Edits graphics for major museum marketing initiatives, including branding, exhibits, events, educational programs and fundraising efforts, through the visual guidelines of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Brand.
- Ensures consistency across design projects with graphic integrity, following existing brand templates.
- Incorporates strong calls to action in marketing materials to encourage fans to visit the museum, attend an event, shop in our stores, etc. as directed.
- Liaises with Content Team and key internal stakeholders to ensure production and delivery deadlines are met.
Contributes to creative development and editing of collateral.
- Assists Content Team in editing and designing creative assets including, images, templates, and layouts for email, social media, advertising and our website
- Alerts all pertinent team members when there is any danger of not meeting a deadline and/or an extension is required.
- Attends regular content meetings to receive editing assignments, contribute new ideas, and give valuable feedback to team members.
Performing content audit and brand updating of published materials.
- Conducts a comprehensive review of the existing content across our website and YouTube channels, identifying opportunities for decluttering, engagement improvement and updating to new naming conventions.
- Enters and updates metadata for various digital assets, including photos and digital marketing materials.
- Refreshes branding across select, outstanding evergreen graphics in alignment with current marketing strategies.

- Auditing our published content on YouTube and website
- Helping with organizing and updating metadata in our digital database
- Creating Inductee birthday and event graphics for social media
- Designing private event lanyards
- Designing print materials for summer events
- Editing and updating existing marketing materials
Requirements & Qualifications
- Creative Cloud experience required, specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Previous design experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and good organizational & planning skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Flexible and able to adjust to changing demands
- Must be proficient in computer skills including Office 365

ELIGIBILITY
Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in a college (preferably entering senior year after summer 2025) or graduate school program.
Details
- Rock Hall internships are paid positions and for enrichment purposes must be willing to work within other departments. This may include working shifts with the Fan Engagement and Museum Retail teams.
- The internship is onsite, starting May 28th and ending August 8th. Exact end dates could be later with some internships.
- Estimated weekly hours for this internship: 24-30 hours
Rock Hall Internship Experience
The Rock Hall is a world-renowned institution and a pillar in the museum and music industries. The internships we host are no different. Not only will all interns get an in depth, project-based learning and working experience, but all interns will also participate in an organization wide internship experience. Weekly career development sessions and or panels with Rock Hall staff will ensure you are getting the most out of your time at the Rock Hall and completing the summer with new tools and resources when it comes to beginning your career. All intern positions will get a chance to work on the floor of the museum to learn firsthand how we create the world class guest experience for our visitors from around the globe. Lastly, all our interns will get to experience summer at the Rock Hall and Cleveland, getting to know the city that helped build Rock & Roll, and all of the events and excitement we curate each summer.
