This exciting role as a Supply Chain Intern will help us optimize our inventory and warehouse capacity.
This position will be located within the Rheem Northeast Distribution territory which includes Long Island, Westchester NY, Connecticut, Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The intern may work out of any Regional Office but will be required to travel frequently within the territory. Travel expectations are approximately 50%.
This position requires 15-20 hours per week, flexible schedule, during the standard business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist with analyzing inventory, variances, deadstock, and opportunities for inventory optimization
- Assist with identifying and developing strategies to sell through obsolete products across 29 locations
- Work with branch and regional management to optimize warehouse capacity through strategic inventory planning
- Support the coordination of outbound logistics
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross functional meetings focused on inventory and warehouse operations
- Prepare reports and analyze data using Excel, ERP systems, and BI tools
- Conduct market research on suppliers, products, and marketplace options
- Ensure supply chain data accuracy and support audits as needed
WHAT YOU NEED
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc), knowledge of ERP a plus
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Curious, proactive and eager to learn

HOW TO STAND OUT
