About this Job:
We are looking for an intern to aid our innovative performance company in its newest stage of growth. We’re looking for self-starting individuals with an excellent work ethic, terrific organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and significant capacity for problem-solving and flexibility in these changing times. No specific field-related experience required, but the ideal candidate will have an optimistic, can-do attitude and be interested in the workings of an arts nonprofit.
This is a great opportunity for an individual who aspires to work in the nonprofit sector, and we are committed to making your internship as customized to your interests and goals as possible. Working with us, you’ll apply your organization, time management, and communication skills while gaining knowledge in areas like creative production, project research and support, arts marketing, fundraising, community engagement, and the building of a theatre company. Work load typically averages 10 hours per week, varying according to production schedules.
Tasks may include: creating content for and managing calendar for social media (this is the bulk of the work), office organization, communicating with press, conducting research, correspondence, scheduling, general administrative assistance, hands-on production tasks, rehearsal support, and front-of-house assistance. Your particular duties will depend upon your interests, skills and experience.
Your work will be mostly remote with some in-person work sessions at our headquarters at Alloy 26 on the northside, and at various performance and event locations. Compensation is redeemed for either course credit through college/ university or stipend ($100/month).
