The Resource Development Specialist VISTA project will increase and strengthen resources available to homeless families with children in Latah County. Family Promise of the Palouse programs and operations are funded entirely through contributions, sponsorships, and grant funds. We currently run one fundraising event each year and apply for a minimum of five (5) grants per year. The Resource Development Specialist will develop a calendar, organization narrative, and research grant opportunities to increase grant application to a minimum of 12 per year. They will also create a plan and calendar of fundraising opportunities and events; with staff assistance, planning and executing an additional fundraising event. By increasing the resources available to Family Promise of the Palouse, we will be able to increase the number of families and individuals served in our programs.
